Coming and Going on HBO Now in December 2016

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele in "Keanu."

HBO presents three new original documentaries in December: The Trans List, which explores the lives of transgender Americans; Risky Drinking, a case-study look at the risks of alcohol use; and Every Brilliant Thing, about depression in America.

New movies debuting on HBO include the Coen Bros.’s Hollywood lampoon Hail, Caesar!, the anti-superhero odyssey thriller Midnight Special from Jeff Nichols, the cat-napping comedy Keanu, and the romantic comedy sequel My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.

Also coming in December: The original My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the Coen Bros.’ A Serious Man, and John Carpenter’s alarmingly prescient science fiction satire They Live.

Leaving at the end the month are the revivals of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Fantastic Four, the splashy space opera Jupiter Ascending, Mistress in America with Greta Gerwig, the original Bad Santa, and the Al Pacino films Dog Day Afternoon and Scarface.
