Coming and Going on HBO Now in August 2017

Natalie Portman stars in 'Jackie,' directed by Pablo Larraín

Jackie, starring Natalie Portman in an Oscar-nominated performance as Jacqueline Kennedy, and the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, with Eddie Redmayne as magical zoologist Newt Scamander, make their debut on HBO in August. Also debuting: Nocturnal Animals with Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal, Collateral Beauty with Will Smith and Kate Winslet, and Warren Beatty’s Rules Don’t Apply.

Older films returning to HBO include the 2008 The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton, Oscar-nominated Frost / Nixon with Michael Sheen and Frank Langella and Girl with a Pearl Earring with Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson, Oscar-winner Adaptation with Nicolas Cage and Meryl Streep, action thrillers RocknRolla and Max Payne, and Changing Lanes with Ben Affleck and Samuel L. Jackson.

Among the films leaving at the end of August are Shane Black’s The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie with Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders as Patsy and Edina, Oscar winners Mystic River and The English Patient, and John Carpenter’s ever-so-timely sci-fi satire They Live.
