Coming and Going on Hulu in February 2018

Will Poulter and Anthony Mackie in the film by Kathryn Bigelow

Jeff Daniels, Peter Sarsgaard, and Alec Baldwin star in The Looming Tower, an original miniseries from by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Dan Futterman and Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney that dramatizes the failure of the American intelligence community to act against the rise of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s. The ten-episode production debuts on Hulu at the end of February.

Also coming to Hulu in February are the streaming debuts of the harrowing Detroit, Kathryn Bigelow’s drama about a real-life act of police brutality and injustice in 1967 (rescheduled from January), and the deft character piece Lucky starring Harry Dean Stanton, and a new batch of TV shows, including the complete runs of the family dramedy Parenthood, young adult soap opera One Tree Hill, family drama Everwood, and sitcom Cougar Town. Also arriving are the first season of the IFC comedy Brockmire and a new season of the animated spy farce Archer.

Older films arriving in the library include the 2009 Star Trek prequel/reboot, crime thriller The Two Faces of January with Viggo Mortensen and Oscar Isaac, A Fish Called Wanda with John Cleese and Jamie Lee Curtis, and Mel Brooks’ western spoof Blazing Saddles. Foreign arrivals include the action thrillers The Villainess and A Taxi Driver from South Korea, costume adventure Once Upon a Time from China, romantic comedy Amelie from France, and con man thriller Nine Queens from Argentina.

Among the titles leaving at the end of February are Revolutionary Road with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, Rudo y Cursi from Mexico with Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna, Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta, and Ironweed with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep.
