Neil Patrick Harris is the sinister Count Olaf, the legal guardian of the innocent orphans in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Netflix adaptation of the series of macabre children’s storybooks.

Yes, dear readers, the terrible adventures of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire and their search for the secret society responsible for the death of their parents are coming to the small screen in 2017. The series is executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and also stars  Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), Malina Weissman (Violet Baudelaire), Louis Hynes (Klaus Baudelaire), and Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket.

The series premieres on Netflix on January 13. Friday the 13th, naturally. You can get a first glimpse at NPH as Olaf in the first trailer for the series.
